Sinai Showdown Raises $1 million for Sinai Health’s Areas of Highest Priority

On November 19, our community came together for the inaugural Sinai Showdown – a high-energy game-show style fundraiser in support of Sinai Health. Four remarkable families – the Cynamons, Goldsteins, Kimels and Pilosofs – faced off in an evening of friendly competition, each championing a Sinai Health program close to their hearts.

To start the evening, guests enjoyed an interactive cocktail reception filled with games, photo opportunities and conversation. After dinner, Gerry Dee – the current host of Family Feud Canada – took to the stage to kick off an unforgettable program full of trivia, laughter and camaraderie.

In the end, the Goldstein family came out victorious, directing the $250,000 grand prize to the Centre for Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) at Mount Sinai Hospital. Members of the IBD team, including Dr. Adam Weizman and Dr. Zane Cohen, C.M., joined the celebration on stage to accept the cheque and congratulate the winning team.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, attendees and sponsors, $1 million was raised to advance life-changing care and research at Sinai Health.
